| ABSTRACT: | The report contained a description of the derivation of the historic and anticipated future water supply available to the Valley, the anticipated demands on the water supply and the Yarmouk River and Valley system yields resulting from simulations of various conditions. The study was performed in two parts:- * First, the Yarmouk River system was analyzed to determine the available yield and its change with time due to the increased withdrawal of water by the Syrians up to the limits of the Jordan-Syrian protocol and how the recommended project development will mitigate the problems caused by the Syrian withdrawals and the degree to which formerly unusable water could be put to beneficial use. * Second, the impact of the Syrian withdrawal and project development was analyzed in conjunction with supplies from the Zarqa River and the side wadis. |
