| ABSTRACT: | This paper was prepared to give a general description of the groundwater situation in Jordan. It contains an overview of the topography of the country and a general briefing of its geology. A survey of the types of aquifers available in Jordan is included along with a hydrogeological brief of selected groundwater fields, namely; Azraq, Dhuleil, Amman-Zarqa, El Jafr, Qabatya and Dura El Fawwar. Finally, the paper discussed the quality of water in Jordan within its limited scope. |
